LG’s Google Nexus 4 is a bargain of a smartphone – if you can find one. Though it’s priced at a stunning £239 SIM-free on the Google Play store, it’s usually sold out, and few networks have picked it up. Now though, Virgin Mobile has begun selling one of the world’s only phones running Android 4.2.

Head on over to the Virgin Mobile website and you’ll find the Google Nexus 4 available to order on a 24 month contract at £31 per month with 500MB of data, 500 text messages and 200 minutes of calls. That’s not the best price we’ve ever seen – you can get a huge Samsung Galaxy Note 2 for the same price on T-Mobile – but it is a price: it’s still sold out on Google Play.

In case you missed the buzz around launch, the Google Nexus 4 is Google’s launch phone for the latest version of Android 4.2 – and right now, it’s still the only phone with the latest update, aside from 2011’s Samsung Galaxy Nexus. Its 4.7-inch screen and powerful processor make it more than a match for Samsung and HTC’s latest too, so long as you know where to look.
